Instead of a fixed open date, the entry waits with no countdown until you choose to open it. You can also pick a preset term (e.g. 90 days, 1 year, 3 years) or a custom date that matters to you.

Yes. From an entry's detail page you can open it ahead of its date if you're ready. Opening always begins the “opening ceremony,” where the ring blooms and the words return.

When enabled, your entries sync across your own devices through Apple's CloudKit, in your private database. If sync ever fails, the app keeps working with your local data. You can toggle it under Me → Sync & Data.

Under Me → Data & Privacy you can export a readable copy of your entries, delete answered entries, or delete all data. Sealed entries export as locked placeholders until they open.

Almost Life runs on iPhone with iOS 17 or later. On iOS 26 it uses Apple's Liquid Glass interface; on iOS 17–25 it shows an equivalent frosted‑material design.
